Here is how I managed to solve Wordle 1038 in four guesses today. I guessed the word ‘AUDIO’ first, which is my usual starter word.

This word showed me that there is an A in the answer, but it is not the first letter.

I then wanted to guess a word that puts the A in a different position and has an E in it so I guessed the word ‘PLEAT’ next.

This word showed me that there is an L and E in the Wordle answer today, but no letters have been correctly placed yet.

The next word I decided to guess was ‘CAMEL’, which placed the A and E correctly.

I then wanted to guess a word that puts the L as the first letter. The next word I guessed was the answer to Wordle 1038, which is…
